Neurum Creek Bush Retreat

Location:
Located about 15 minutes from Woodford and Kilcoy Queensland on the northern side of the Mt Mee National Park.  Take Neurum Rd from Woodford or Kilcoy.  Turn onto Station Rd then turn right onto Rasmussen Rd over the cattle grid. Follow Rasmussen Rd to Neurum Creek Retreat.  Last opportunity to stock up on major supplies is Kilcoy or Woodford.  The dirt road in is well maintained & easily accessed by conventional vehicles.  Caravans & most motorhomes will access the property easily.  Caution is advised on entry as the gates seem.... just a tad narrow.  Good though, as the narrow gates discourage excess speed within the campground.  Neurum Creek Bush Resort is a "Dog Friendly" park.  Conditions apply.

On arrival:
Friendly staff are happy to answer your questions, indicate your site & provide you with a map of the campground.

What it looks and feels like:
Neurum Creek offers a unique mix of bush & powered sites that suit all levels of campers.  From the first timers to very experienced, solo, couple or family, this camp would attract most.
Sites range from 170 sq mtr to a massive 1100 sq mtr.  Most are unpowered.  Thirteen powered sites are located within areas "A" & "C".  Some unpowered sites are unsuitable for caravans & motorhomes due to access or unlevel ground.  Most sites are reasonably level, though some chocking would be advisable.

Facilities:
Shower & toilet facilities are clean & well maintained.  Two main amenities buildings house "composting toilets" & 'instant' gas hot showers.  Other toilet only blocks are scattered around the park.  These toilets are not to be used as dump points.   There are no dump facilities at this ground.  There are no laundry facilities.  Water is provided by rain water tanks or creek water supply.  Taps are located around the park & are for communal use. It is advised to boil all water prior to drinking.   Camp fires are allowed within the rings provided.  Each site has its own fire ring.  BYO firewood or purchase packs from the office.  No firewood is to be collected from the bush or waterways.  Telstra Next G reception is good.  No internet service is available unless you bring your own.

Shopping:
The office is also a small general store providing firewood & essential basics such as ice, long-life milk, flour, toothpaste, soap, tea, coffee, insect repellent etc.  Swap & Go gas is also available.  Gas refills are available at Woodford & Kilcoy.

What to do and see:
What would you like to do?  Bushwalks within the campground & nearby Mt Mee National Park cater for most levels of experience.  The roads through the national park also cater for beginner level four wheel drive experience.  Grab a map from the National Parks office first though.  Easy to become "geographically embarrassed".  Remember, Neurum Creek Bush Retreat is a family park, which means the younger are well catered for.  A BMX bike track, push bike riding tracks, open air quoits, hopscotch & creek exploration - movies some weekend nights.  Native wildlife such as wallabies, kangaroos, platypus & abundant birdlife live in this park & wander freely without being a nuisance to campers.  Check the website for weekend & school holiday events.
