Steves' Campervan Conversion

Steve and Kim continue their story

Plenty of room for a couple of comfortable camp chairs and a small table for a meal or a game of cards or chess

This is also handy for when you want to go to Bunning’s for more goodies for the next project.

A bed big enough for three.

Shame on you for thinking THAT !
Our dog refuses to sleep on the floor, after all he thinks he is human [ only animals sleep outside according to him ].
We had our “Maiden Voyage” a couple of weeks ago.
A 500 km. round trip out into Western Victoria for an overnighter. We cheated a bit by going to a farm owned by friends in case things did not go to plan.  As it turned out it was a very cold and wet weekend. The van was cosy, the bed was very comfortable and it was a good night’s sleep in spite of the poor weather.

I told you it was big enough for three, but I don’t think the mutt really wants to let me back in. [and the dog’s not to keen on letting me in either].

Well that is it so far.
The project will continue with the addition of extras such as dual batteries for running the fridge and a 240 volt inverter, TV and DVD units, solar panels etc.  These will all take time and will be done in stages as money permits.
The van is now useable for trips away with comfort.

Late breaking news: The van is for sale due to upcoming work re-location, the new position will put me on call 24-7 and will severely impede my time to work on and use the van for the next couple of years.

If you are interested in continuing the project along your own lines please contact me.

Stay tuned for progress reports in the near future.

Regards,
Steve
