The National Museum of Australian Canberra

The National Museum of Australia is devoted to telling great stories about Australia and Australians. It is alive with griping stories, clever technology and plenty of fun for all ages. Best of all entry is FREE to general exhibition areas.
The Museum features state-of-the-art technology and hands on exhibitions, to enhance the visitor experience.
The museum’s five permanent exhibitions are full of interesting objects each with its own fascinating story. With its amazing architecture and stunning surroundings the building itself also has a story to tell.
There are a number of guided tours available all of which are run by a trained visitor services host. By taking one of the Museums guided tours the stories of the Museum will come alive.
There is plenty of exciting things for kids to do including a futuristic, interactive exhibit space called Kspace Futureworld, a Cubby house wonderland called Our Place and a number of events during the school holidays including storytelling, performances and adventure tours
The Museum also hosts a range of short-term special exhibitions and runs a range of public programs and events throughout the year.
